John F-ing Kerry actually had the gall to accuse the Bush administration of dragging its feet on implementing the reforms recommended by the 9/11 Commission.
Let’s look at the facts:
- The report came out on July 22
- The following week was the DNC, during which Bush laid low and reportedly studied the report and weighed which reforms could be implemented immediately by executive order, and which would require congressional action.
- Kerry and Edwards appeared on Fox News Sunday on August 1st, when Kerry said: “I think this administration has dropped the ball on homeland security. I think they are now moving to catch up.”
Well, no kidding. You’d think as long as he’s been in government that he would realize the Federal government doesn’t exactly turn on a dime. Not to mention that making quick work of things like this would likely result in bad results, and more bureaucracy without substance.
